A fencing mask, jacket, glove and chest protector must always be worn when fencing.

Weapons need to be treated with respect and are always pointed down.

Masks are on when weapons are raised. Never point a weapon at someone who is not wearing a mask.

Stop immediately if something is wrong or if your opponent waves the unarmed hand or gives any sign of wanting to stop.

Report injuries to coaches immediately.

Stop if you feel pain or discomfort during fencing.

Ensure enough space between an unprotected person (e.g. referee) and a person with a word.

When fencing, do not drive your opponent into the wall or a hazard.

Wear proper shoes for fencing and ensure that shoes are clean when entering the fencing floor.

Siblings and visitors are not allowed to run towards the fencing floor when people are fencing.

Respect the coaches and abide by their instructions and rules – they are there for your safety.

Always respect your opponent and referee.

Violent fencing actions are not permitted. Fencers must control parries and attacks so that the opponent is not injured by whipping or hard stabbing actions of the blade.

Salute to the referee and your opponent before and after each bout.

Cheering for other fencers is encouraged, but name calling and displays of poor sportsmanship are not acceptable.

Food and beverages are not allowed on the fencing floor.

Respect and protect the venue: do not damage walls, floor or strips.

Do not hit the wall, floor or strip with your point or blade.

Do not throw any equipment under any circumstance.

Respect club equipment as your own property.

We may collect information about you, including your name, date of birth, address, contact details, carer's details for kids under 18 years old, testimonials, membership and competition entry details, credit card details, bank account details for payments to you, training activities, competition results and rankings, performance criteria and any other information we made need to identify you and keep information about your competition and training activity.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

3. Use of your image
When you sign up for the group and private lessons at K Fencing Club, you consent to using your images on our website, fencing groups and social media platforms to promote fencing. If you are a parent or guardian, you consent to use images of your children for the same purpose. We will only publish your or your child’s image in this context and the context of normal fencing activity, including competitions, training, camps, tours and social functions.
